“Music is my oxygen. I can’t live without it.”

Edward Ionut Gatin, alias W3YR, is a Techno dj and producer born in Romania in 1996.
His passion for music and electric instruments starts during the childhood: from then on Edward will never leave his dream.

At the age of 11 he moves to Italy, a place where he has finally the possibility to understand his talent, attending his first courses of music theory.
In Italy Edward discovers the world of Electro and Techno music, starting his first dj sets and improving his music knowledge and competence.

Some years later, the turning point: the dj meets Filippo Forlani (ARCHETYPE), who introduces him to the complicated field of music production, teaching and explaining its main features with passion and dedication.

During the following years Edward Gatin joins the network of Riviera Romagnola night clubs, playing at renowned discos like Peter Pan, Baia Imperiale and different Italian Festivals, introducing his smashing style to the audience.

Meanwhile he studies a lot to improve his competence, attending piano and music production courses and producing different tracks. His first publications are ”1996”and “Harmony” on Antrace Records.

In 2017 his first EP: “Subtractiv”, published by Carcooma Records.

This is definitely a year full of news for Gatin: on April he has joined the Swiss Label Matrix Music Records 2017 releasing the track ”808” and now he is about to launch his second EP “XYLOPHONIC” on Ogopogo Records, a production of two Techno tracks soon available on the main music portals.

Young, talented, W3YR is continually growing within the Underground Circuit.
